Honoring APP excellence throughout Baptist Memorial Hospitals and Baptist Medical Group

Nominations are open for the 2022 Baptist Advanced Practice Provider Excellence Award! The nomination deadline is July 15.

This year Baptist Memorial Hospitals and Baptist Medical Group will present the first annual Advanced Practice Provider Excellence Award. Every year, this award will be presented to an Advanced Practice Provider who demonstrates excellence in collaborative care and has made noteworthy contributions to promote patient wellness. The 2022 winner will be announced at the APP Conference on September 23.

Who’s eligible?

Any Advanced Practice Provider with 1 or more years of service or affiliation with Baptist Medical Group or Baptist Memorial Hospitals, including:

  • Nurse Practitioners (NP)
  • Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM)
  • Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS)
  • Certified Registration Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)
  • Physician Assistants (PA)

Who can submit a nomination?

Any Baptist Team Member can submit a nomination for the Baptist APP Excellence Award using the form below . The deadline for nominations for the 2022 award is Friday, July 15.

A finalist from every participating entity will be selected and recognized, and the system-wide winner will be chosen from among the finalists. Award finalists will require reference letters from two different care team members, such as an office manager, precepting physician, or fellow APP, showing how the nominee meets the criteria for this award.

How are nominees evaluated?

Nominees will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Exceptional clinical knowledge
  • Exemplary relationships with both patients and team members
  • Unwavering commitment to high quality care for all patients
  • Commitment to the APP profession

Nominees should also distinguish themselves through exceptional contribution in one of the following areas. Contributions to multiple areas will improve a nominee’s chances:

  • Quality or process improvement
  • Patient care innovation
  • Trainee teaching
  • Mentorship
  • Community service
  • Team-building
